Decision-analytical modeling • Led 10+ economic modeling projects (e.g., cost effectiveness and budget impact) to evaluate the economic impact and effectiveness of several pharmaceutical interventions and support innovative drug launching and agencies submission application; develop economic section in FDA dossier and present the model outcomes in major conference via abstract and poster • Build RShiny apps to convert EXCEL-based decision-analytical models into interactive RShiny models and centralize model inputs on Oracle SQL database for different countries (e.g., costs, efficacy data, utility); Claim database analysis • Responsible for data preparation and statistical analysis using large administrative claims databases (10M+ entries) to assess economic burden and healthcare resource utilization for various diseases• Clinical data database analysis and other responsibility • Led 5+ empirical comparative studies using clinical trial data (e.g., safety profile) to evaluate the clinical and economic outcomes of pharmaceutical interventions in SAS and R; deverlier results via EXCEL and HTML deliverable • Conducted systematic literature reviews and network-meta-analyses on different indications for various client needs (e.g., regulatory submissions to UK and US agencies for drug approval) • Handle daily client relationship and mange different work streams and provide training for 15+ people for 8+ cases at the same time • Develop study design with case managers and draft proposals, study protocol and manuscripts for journal submission

• Extracted and cleaned survey and assessment tool data on the topic of adolescent health access in various format (e.g., PDF, EXCEL, WORD) to build a Microsoft Access database; enable better data retrieval, analysis, and storage using SQL for 50+ clients in 40+ states• Evaluated infrastructure improvements of participating healthcare facilities (e.g., clinic, medical center) by automatically generating summary tables and charts for 10+ data reports to support quarterly client meetings, training courses, and annual conference presentations

• Leveraged 2005-2008 National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) to evaluate the impact of environmental exposure (heavy metal: cadmium and lead) on Retinopathy among 5,000 sample adults in US and provide new information in this topic • Utilized statistical methods (e.g., t-test, Chi-square test, geometric mean, and logistic regression) to obtain descriptive statistics, assess the relationship between heavy metal exposure and Retinopathy, and examine the effect modification by diabetes status

• Implemented a Markov Model to identify most cost-effectiveness interventions for Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) among 5 interventions in US working-age adult from the societal perspective for 5 years. The preliminary result suggested that the combination of light therapy and cognitive behavioral therapy is most cost-effectiveness• Conducted one-way sensitivity analysis to test the model assumptions by changing the value of our parameters (e.g. QALYs, cost of each intervention, and SAD recidivism rate) of Markov Model

• Developed a pilot study among 150 patients with diabetes to assess the relationship between the awareness of diabetes management and vision problems; understood their behavior and treatment pattern to facilitate community-based health education program in rural Dhaka• Presented research findings in on-campus seminars in US to disseminate the importance of promoting diabetes management

• Studied the impact of nitric oxide (NO) on Trypanosoma brucei (T.brucei) invasion and differentiation by quantifying parasitemia and differentiation of T.brucei, iNOS gene expression and NO level in both iNOS gene knockout rat and normal rat • Coordinated weekly lab meetings and assisted in drafting 4 manuscripts for different research projects to facilitate the research process
