Simprints is a not-for-profit building biometric technology designed for the last mile in global development, where scarred fingerprints and a lack of internet connectivity are the norm. Simprints partners with some of the biggest NGOs and funders in the world like the Gates Foundation, USAID, and Mercy Corps.In transitioning from VP of Engineering to Director of Talent, my focus was to expand the same people systems and processes I had designed for engineering to apply to the company as a whole.

I led the people and process functions of the engineering team. This included managing up to 10 engineers and training other engineering managers, constructing our career progression ladder to guide performance reviews, and designing the hiring systems that helped us scale from 25 to 50.

dupont studios was a web design and development agency that provided technology services to help non-technical founders launch and scale their businesses. We paired our custom app development work with technical training so founders could better manage their roadmap long after our services had been delivered.In my role, I led execution of the internal design and development team, managed client relationships, and secured new business.

BaseRails was a project-based video learning platform that taught 20k people how to code. Originally envisioned as a 1-month side project, we tried to turn it into a venture-backed startup but couldn't scale content creation (educational technology content has a short lifespan). We ended up running BaseRails as a six-figure lifestyle business for a few years before moving on to other opportunities.In my role, I led the technology and operations of the company, from engineering our online learning platform to building our course content to being the primary point of contact for our users.

I worked as a data analyst on Google's Revenue Team, a 20-person group of quantitative analysts that provided strategic decision-making support to executive audiences, including the SVP Ads and CFO.In my role, I served as the primary analyst for the Adsense for Search product ($1.2B in annual revenue), using R, SQL, and Python to forecast, track, and analyze the latest trends.

Codecademy has taught more than 45 million people around the world to code.I was contracted to develop in-class materials for teachers to use as part of Codecademy's online/offline syllabus designed for the UK's national programming curriculum.

As the first Associate in BCG's NJ office, I worked on a series of 3-6 month projects, mostly helping Fortune 500 clients with strategic and analytical issues. Example projects include a Canadian retailer realigning their sales force compensation model, a regional bank managing a $350M IT transformation, and a private equity firm doing due diligence on a $600M OTC drug portfolio. I became very practiced with Excel and Powerpoint.
