Served as Missouri Governor, Jeremiah (Jay) Nixon’s official liaison and interpreter at official delegation meetings in Jefferson City and overseas. •Initiated, organized, managed trade shows, trade missions, marketing trips, and promotional campaigns tailored to the needs of a business or industry. Recently led the 2013 Missouri Department of Agriculture Trade Mission to China. Officially opened trade dialogues between Missouri and Shandong Province and Xinjiang Autonomous Region in bioscience, food and beverage, rice, and livestock industries. Total export value from Missouri to China from this trade mission is $1.34 million. •Worked closely with U.S. Commercial Service, U.S. Small Business Administration, St. Louis World Trade Center, Food Export Association of the Midwest, Softwood Export Council, Hardwood States Export Group, Missouri Forest Products Association, United States Livestock Genetics Export, and other industry organizations, businesses and academic institutions to facilitate the growth of Agriculture industry.•Coordinate and facilitate team meetings and activities to promote business export expansion within agriculture industry in international markets. • Facilitate implementation of the overall business development plan for export growth opportunities. Research, evaluate and provide interested Missouri small agricultural businesses with information on international trade opportunities, potential foreign markets and customers.•Provided technical assistance to Missouri Ag businesses interested in initiating or expanding export operations and to other businesses interested in initiating or expanding operations in Missouri through export counseling, community development meetings, training, marketing activities and conferences.

Served as Missouri Governor, Jeremiah (Jay) Nixon’s official liaison and interpreter at official delegation meetings in Jefferson City and overseas. •Assisted over 140 Missouri companies with their international outreach activities in the area of Agriculture, energy, medical equipment, pharmaceutical ingredient, consumer goods, and education. Assisted Missouri small businesses under the State Trade & Export Promotion (STEP) Grant Program. Oversaw STEP registration, application, eligibility, and all other STEP related processes. •Initiated, organized, managed trade shows, trade missions, marketing trips, and promotional campaigns tailored to the needs of a business or industry.•Prepared marketing plans tailored to the needs of a business or industry and counsel Missouri firms to properly market their goods/services in foreign markets but adhering to export requirements pertinent to each market; cultural aspects of market. Led the Missouri Wine Branding Campaign in China.•Facilitated implementation of the overall business development plan for export growth opportunities.
