The TiE Young Entrepreneurs program is an initiative that inspires, challenges, and empowers students to become the next generation of business and community leaders. Every week, a professional in their area of specialization such as marketing, accounting, or business owner shares and teaches business concepts that they have acquired. TYE is a unique program that helps high school students learn about the challenges and rewards of becoming an entrepreneur.https://vancouver.tie.org/This program enabled me to learn about entrepreneurship and basic business concepts. At the end of the program, my team and I developed a business plan for a new product and we presented the idea to a panel of judges in a competition. For the business plan, I created financial spreadsheets to outline start-up costs, sales forecasts, and month-by-month cash flow projection.
