In 2016, I got the first prize as business woman in Technological Innovation awarded by FEBA (Federación Económica de la Provincia de Buenos Aires) in Tandil City and I was one of the four finalists for the same category in Buenos Aires Province. While working on my PhD thesis I gained expertise and training on cloning techniques, production of recombinant proteins and in vitro diagnostic set up including the development of an ELISA with policlonal antibodies from chicken and rabbit, a lateral flow immunochromatographic assay and a nucleic acid isothermal amplification. The goal of this thesis was to develop techniques to achieve an early, fast and accurate diagnosis of STEC infection as the main cause of Hemolytic Uremic Syndrome.
