Fast forward 60 years and these words apply more than ever. Digitization, internationalization of businesses, climate change, global pandemics and international trade conflicts change the way we live and do business at rapid speed. Remaining in the status quo is not a viable option anymore. Has it ever been before? In order to sustain we need to embrace change. Organizations that fail to do so find themselves in a struggle for significance. Remember Kodak or Nokia?Working in international logistics and supply chain management for more than ten years, constant change has become my personal companion. What I believe to be the hot new thing one day is old news the next day. I did not only come to terms with this. Instead, it has become one of the things I love most about working in this industry. By developing and implementing supply chain solutions suited to retail businesses, I contribute to my customers’ success in gaining an edge over their competition. In the highly competitive, fast-paced environment they are in, a cost and time efficient supply chain is their differentiator.
