My postdoctoral work at the University of Zurich focuses on elucidating the molecular mechanism underlying DNA repair pathways. Using cutting-edge high-content microscopy, I aimed to better our understanding of DNA repair specifically activated in cancer cells. My doctoral work, under the supervision of Prof Marcel van Vugt in the Department of Medical Oncology at the University Medical Center Groningen aimed to dissect the mechanisms by which replication-born DNA lesions affect mitotic behavior of cancer cells. During my PhD-training, I gained considerable knowledge of understanding molecular and cell biological processes.
