Vice chair and spokesperson for more than 7000 students at the Medical University of Vienna

ÖH Med Wien is the students‘ union at the Medical University of Vienna. We represent all 7000+ (medicine, dentistry and PhD) students with respect to their rights as it relates to the university, politics and all other parties of relevance.

I worked as an assistant to the surgeon in the endoprosthetics department of the orthopaedic clinic Dreifaltigkeits Krankenhaus in Cologne. My work consisted of helping during knee and hip replacement surgeries, assisting the surgeon by holding numerous tools in place, by adjusting the patients' posture to a position that was required for the surgery to proceed, and to help taking x-rays after the surgery. Adequate training in procedures for working in sterile conditions were part of my every day life at this job.

I did my nursing Internship at St.Elisabeth Hospital in Cologne. I worked both in the surgical and urological ward where I helped patients to prepare for surgery, but I also helped them to get back on track after surgical procedures.

I am conducting research on the network structure of PTSD symptoms and comorbid mental disorders. Apart from examining the construct of PTSD as defined by the DSM-5, I worked on an article that evaluated the role of content overlap in PTSD comorbidity.
