As part of the Dutch Safety Board, I am involved in research with great social relevance and impact. The most important of these are: • The Dutch government's approach to the Corona Crisis; • The mortar incident in Mali, 2016 (reopening 2022); • The consequences for digital security vulnerabilities (Citrix)As Secretary-Safety Specialist my duties and responsibilities include: • Advising and monitoring the content, consistency, quality and impact of DSB investigations. In addition, broadening findings for the general public. • Ensuring and coordinating, in close cooperation with project leaders, that the research process runs smoothly. • Writing and editing texts (such as analyses, report parts, notes and annual reports). • Monitoring and analyzing follow-up of recommendations to addressed parties (such as ministries, companies and other bodies in the Netherlands and abroad) • Contributing to the internal policies of the OVV. For example, I was a member of a working group that shaped the organization's transition to 'hybrid working'

Currently I lead a study into "trustworthy research in the public interest". In a team, we investigate what such research must meet in order to be worthy of public trust. The aim of the project is to provide those involved with starting points by identifying factors and values ​​that contribute to conducting socially trustworthy research. The project will result in an accessible publication that can serve as a guide for all those involved and other interested parties. As Project Manager, I was involved on behalf of the UU in the Committee Investigating Intercountry Adoption. The Committee consisted of Bert-Jan Houtzagers, Beatrice de Graaf, and was chaired by Tjibbe Joustra. The aim of the Committee was to investigate to what extent possible abuses occurred in the past in intercountry/foreign adoptions, and what the role of the Dutch government and adoption intermediaries was. I was jointly responsible for directing and conducting the (archival) research in this large-scale, politically sensitive and independent investigation. My tasks included: • Managing a team of researchers (3 fte). • Carrying out and coordinating (archive) research and fieldwork in the Netherlands and abroad. • Writing reports, analyses and chapters for the final report. • Taking care of the (final) editing of the report. • Coordination and process management with client and stakeholders. • Manage project management, operations and finances

My broad, challenging range of tasks consisted of: • Editing books and articles (researching, analyzing, contacting the publisher, editing images, writing appendices). • Project-based organization of public lectures and academic conferences. • Organizational tasks: compiling annual calendar, taking minutes of meetings, agenda management. • I worked intensively on the creation of the TV program 'DWDD University' about espionage (2017)
