After different work collaborations both in Brussels and New York, Yannick Denayer founded WHYarchitecture.eu, a Brussels & Paris based studio working internationally. Thanks to real estate developers, brands, both public and private operators that commissioned WHY, Yannick Denayer gained a strong experience in a large scope of works ranging from large-scale construction to housing, office and mixed use buildings, urban transport infrastructures, interior and store design, store planning, urban planning, cultural & educational equipements and institutional buildings.He has an extensive international experience and know how to operate globally -such as its longstanding collaboration with world renowned luxury brand Delvaux- with completed and on-going projects in BE, LU, FR, UK, IT, USA, CA, CN, HK, SG, JP, KR & KW.Yannick's occupations are both in the practice and in Academia. Yannick often sit on selection committees and is frequently a visiting crit in various architectural schools amongst others the Ecole Spéciale d’Architecture in Paris, the Architecture Association in London, the Ecole Supérieure des Arts Saint-Luc in Liège, the Architecture Faculty of the Université Libre de Bruxelles and the Barcelona School of Architecture.Yannick Denayer was involved in a series of installations or curating exhibitions e.g. with Maurizio Cohen, the exhibition "Les Iles Flottantes", at the Belgian Pavilion at the Venice Architecture Biennale, "Pocket Gardens", a project that was generously funded by the King Baudouin Foundation or with Samuel Dufaux for "CTRL CE", a traveling exhibition about New York Columbia University students contributions.
