Driving the development of disruptive, location-based audio content on urban mobility and transit, Alight is a mobile app employing design and technology to transform public buses in vehicles of exploration and discovery. Key responsibility:- Designed and conducted research to kickstart market segmentation, including FGDs, in-depth interviews, and surveys.- Led team to apply the research insights in actionable business decisions, including identifying target consumers, estimating market scope, determining strategic app design features, and planning marketing strategy.- Managed agile research and design execution in the face of quickly shifting goals of a start-up.

Bamboo Bicycles Beijing is a social enterprise empowering global sustainable change makers through providing innovative hands-on bamboo bicycle building experience. By building together, we build a healthy, capable, sustainable community. Since 2014, Bamboo Bicycles Beijing organized 100+ bamboo bicycle workshops building 500+ bicycles in Beijing and cultivated workshop leaders all around the world to activate local change through organizing bamboo bicycle community workshops in Shanghai, Hong Kong, Boston, Denver, Laos and many other cities. BBB was a world-leading bamboo bicycle company, FastCompany China's 100 Most Creative Companies, and featured in multiple international influential media such as Central China Television, CNBC, Le Monde, National Geographic.Candy managed various projects internationally with different stakeholders, such as workshops for refugees at Worcester, MA; exhibition for World Health Organization in Shanghai, maker fair events for international schools in Beijing, company training workshop for Buhler Group in Cambodia. Candy built partnership with different schools , non-profit organizations, companies and helped to design and tailored the learning experience to fit in different educational context.

China Youthology is an innovation consultancy that guides insights-based business adaptation. Focusing on youth aged 15-35 y.o. and seeing consumers as holistic individuals, Youthology generates youth culture insights to drive business innovation, helping brands to adapt, redesign and change to truly offer relevant and leading experiences that youth value. As an associate research director, Candy conducted qualitative market research for global and local brands on Chinese youth culture. Working with various FMCG and technology companies such as McDonald's, P&G, Unilever, L‘oreal，Microsoft, Huawei etc，Candy led her team to produce actionable insights to help these brands to explore product innovation, communication strategy and brand proposition. As an culture connection director and youth community builder，Candy led her team built the first youth cultural ecosystem with 200+ key culture leaders who had positive impact in music, game, art, technology, social innovation and various culture categories. This ecosystem helped to facilitate cross category collaboration and support youth culture development. Candy also initiated Butter Youth Conference. In this monthly youth sharing she facilitated youth to reflect, to communicate and to raise questions through telling stories. The event has continually grown since it began with youth relevant topics and it’ve became a youth trustful platform to share their voice, explore different possibilities and gain encouragement from each other to take action on their goals. There have been 50 Butter Youth Conferences with 300+ speakers and 2000+ audience members.
