    My research focuses on improving the hydrophilicity of polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) , which is a material has diverse biomedical applications, such as contact lens, pacemaker encapsulant, artificial skin and etc. The modification method used in our lab is to adsorb poly (vinyl alcohol) (PVOH) onto PDMS substrate. The effectiveness of the method is characterized by various analytical instruments, including ellipsometer, goniometer and atomic force microscope.
