Select accomplishments:Led the transformation initiative of a major Norwegian telecommunications company. Created and implemented an in-house "think-tank" providing technology-enabled professional services to external customers. Led a core team of approximately 40 people resulting in a ten fold increase in application development productivity and a dramatic increase in customer satisfaction. Managed a team of 5 consultants and 15 client staff to deliver a cost reduction project for the automotive aftermarket operations of a global automotive supplier. Led the development of a new strategic direction focusing on operational efficiency, and redesigned the organization along the new vision and processes. Detailed roles, responsibilities and reporting lines for 110 new roles spanning 500 people for positions down to 5 levels below the executive team. The result was a 25% headcount reduction, equivalent to a 30% cost reduction. After developing the six-month implementation strategy, managed the content and coordination of the business plans of 25 of the most senior business executives. Led the IT strategy workstream in bidding for a $4B outsourcing/joint venture deal between CSC and a major Scandinavian industrial conglomerate. Led the delivery of a number of resulting projects with global teams from the US, UK and Benelux. Managed a 20 person core team to identify, design and lead a number of focused pilots concentrating on market creation, product development, product deployment and customer acquisition to deliver short-term profitability and business value to the software subsidiary of a major Swiss bank. Ensured senior management alignment with other ongoing business initiatives. Added 20% net profit improvement to the bottom line within a year. 
