FINAL YEAR PROJECT IN BIOTECHNOLOGY The hypothesis to be tested is that bacterial genomes with an increased number of error correcting genes, have a decreased frequency of SSR sequences. This was done by putting a code together using Python to count error correcting genes (ECGs), count SSR sequences, and 3D plotting. Results statistically provided a negative correlation between the two variables suggesting that the null hypothesis can be rejected.
