On-Site Supervisor
Current• Enforce safety and sanitation regulations. Plan, develop, and implement warehouse safety and security programs and activities. • Plan work schedules and assign duties to maintain adequate staff for effective performance of activities and response to fluctuating workloads. Review processing schedules and production orders to make decisions concerning inventory requirements, staffing requirements, work procedures, and duty assignments. Review documents such as production schedules, work orders, and staffing tables to determine personnel and materials requirements. Examine documents, materials, and products, and monitor work processes, in order to assess completeness, accuracy, and conformance to standards and specifications.• Review work throughout the work process and at completion to ensure that it has been performed properly. Transmit and explain work orders to laborers. Inspect physical conditions of warehouses, vehicle fleets and equipment, and order testing, maintenance, repair, or replacement as necessary. Schedule and monitor pickup, delivery, or distribution of products or materials. Check specifications of materials loaded or unloaded against information contained in work orders. Supervise the activities of workers engaged in receiving, storing, testing, and shipping products or materials. Examine freight to determine loading sequences. • Evaluate employee performance and prepare performance appraisals. Prepare and maintain work records and reports of information such as employee time and wages, daily receipts. Train, evaluate, and write-ups of staff with disciplinary issues. Interview, select, and train warehouse personnel. Confer with management or subordinates to resolve worker problems, complaints, or grievances.
