Serve as a Financial Manager at Government Operation Cluster in the Office of Finance and Resource Management (OFRM). Responsible for providing support to various agencies within the Cluster, to include executing and documenting financial transactions, maintaining accurate accounting records, assist developing/defending/justifying budget and spending plans, tracking revenues, expenditures, obligations and fund balances; maintaining financial statements, including balance sheet, income statement, and statement of cash flows; projects the use of funds and compares with funds availability; advising on policies, risk analysis, the use of funds, financial forecasting, the annual budget process, the closing process and other areas; review and interprets existing and proposed legislation, appropriation language, executive orders, and other subsystem as needed; coordinates audits of the office’s financial records and assists the auditor in gathering and analyzing the requested information; monitoring the execution of approved agency budget to assure that funds are properly allocated and are being obligated and spent in ordinance with Federal and District rules and regulations; recommending adjustments, such as redistribution of funds within accounts, activity, program and division, in response to changes in programs, staffing levels, and/or funds available; exercising budget controls through review and approval of the obligation and expenditure of funds for management and administrative purpose, prepare regular ad hoc analysis for senior staff members, participate in various hearings namely Capstat meetings, budget review hearing with the mayor’s budget team, performance hearing with Districts Council.

Served as Budget Analyst and reporting to the Assistant Vice President of Operations, developed and presented operational and capital/construction budgets for over 25 departments in the Patient Support Division; monitoring divisional performance against budget and assisted in capital budget preparation: analyzed and explained variances to budget and forecast: performed trend analysis to determine risks to budgets and forecasts; provide early warning indicators to department heads & senior executive management staff; and recommended corrective actions, prepared complex analyses for the division and served as primary contact for the Senior Leadership Team in making presentations and answering inquiries.

Served as Accountant II reporting to the Director of Business Management & Construction, analyzed account and budget variances; prepared journal entries; reconciled and balanced general ledger accounts. Managed 350 + invoices monthly, prepared payroll for several departments.
