DETAILS: • Work closely with the development team to support the fit development process (i.e., technical perspective, lead fit sessions, sample development, communicating fit comments to suppliers, approving fits)• Approve merchandise for production, focusing on maintaining quality standards and reducing customer returns.• Support suppliers in achieving quality standards expected by the company.• Provide technical input into garment construction.• Develop technical instructions in garment construction.• Provide training to the technical staff of all factories to comply with the Puma standards• Implement procedures in all departments for daily improvement and efficiency.• Do AQL1 Final inspections on all production• Do factory Audits – QMS -factories strengths and weaknesses, based on Management, Equipment, Housekeeping (policies). Provide a detailed CAR.• Help the QA/QC team in the factories and expertise to the overall Quality Management System, policies and standards to support proper and smooth execution of all Quality related activities in meeting the specified standards and requirements• To implement preventive measure and corrective action for non-conforming products• Preparing reports by collecting data on inspections done for analyzing• Travel to the far east annually to visit bigger factories and take away what I can do in my factories to illuminate daily obstacles and how to improve the factory quality level.• Travel frequently to visit all the factories in my regions that I am responsible for, for constant improvement• I am responsible for Madagascar, Mauritius, Durban and Cape Town.
