Lauren is working on behalf of a private family foundation in support of bioregional communities around the world. Bioregionalism is a place-based approach to culture & society which, in this case, centers on deep relationships and ecological consciousness. Bioregional communities have the potential to be highly resilient, and to thrive in the face of change.

The Rockefeller Foundation has a long history of bringing people together to try to solve the world’s most challenging problems. Lauren supported the first few years of a new initiative developing convening strategy & design for diverse groups of global leaders seeking to address climate change, reinvent capitalism, and promote well-being.

A funded initiative of The Volgenau Foundation, The Volgenau Climate Initiative (VCI) is a climate leadership program committed to accelerating nature-based strategies that support mitigation, resilience, biodiversity, and equity. Lauren led the prototyping phase of the initiative including standing up a team, securing long term funding, running a series of leadership retreats that tested various theories of change, and overseeing high impact grant making.

Building on Ashoka's extensive work in the field of social entrepreneurism, Lauren led a multi-year project aimed at creating tools to unlock the potential of humanity to build a better future for the good of all. This work draws upon the insights of hundreds of Ashoka Fellows and other changemakers from around the world, and is being actively prototyped with leaders from various industries to support internal, cultural, and relational capacities to drive change.
