Callide Power Station, is a 1530MW coal fired power Generator (Callide, B and C) which supplies electricity to Australia’s east coast grid. As an Instrumentation Technician, I am responsible for the Installation, commissioning and maintenance of various types of control processes and mediums (steam, ash, water chemistry, furnace combustion, & air flow). I work with a wide range of measurement devices including water & gas analysis, pressure, flow, vibration, temperature, weight and much more. Installation & Commissioning: De-commissioning outdated process and control instrumentation, Pre- commissioning all the way through to final stages of commissioning, Testing – using a variety of testing toolsMaintenance Instrumentation:Involved in 3 major plant overhauls and 2 forced outages. The scope of a Major Plant overhaul for the control system group consists of instrument calibration (of over 1200 instruments in Air & Gas, Boiler, Turbine, Fuel, Water treatment and Ash & Dust plants for each generation unit), control system functional testing and protection system testing.Electrical - Installation & MaintenanceTesting equipment, motor connections, testing and installation of wiring and effective troubleshooting of all electrical and instrumentation, High Voltage switchingAchievements:Received Officer in Charge status within 3 months of arriving at CS Energy Received People and Culture Champion Award Co- ordinated a crew of 4 to complete emergency Installation & commissioning of Siemens Simatic PLC Rack

During my time at Multi Service Group I was required to work autonomously on small to large projects, maintenance and installations. The main project I worked on during my time at Multi Service Group was the construction and refurbishment of the Rio Tinto Parker Point Fuel Terminal project. This involved working in hazardous areas and working to tight deadlines, meeting quality and safety standards. Involved in installation of Earth grid system, cables ladders, conduit, cabling and instrumentation to the tanks and other associated equipment.

As an Electrician for Symmetrical group, at Rio Tinto shipping ports at Dampier, WA, I worked on shutdown electrical maintenance including: • Maintenance on conveyor systems - Loop checks and function testing of conveyor, stacker, re- claimer safety interlocks.• Industrial electrical maintenance on facilities including - Train unloading, product stockpiling and blending and ship loading.

Karratha, Wa

Gantheaum Bay Electrical contracted to Rio Tinto, where they had the contract for the construction of the Wickham modular affordable housing project. I was involved the construction of 200 modular houses, including connecting to mains, all wiring, testing, commissioning and fault finding.
