• Overseeing all scientific centers in the university and sections associated with it.• Scientific oversight of scientific activities at the university (colleges and institutes and centers).• Preparation of scientific research plans at the university and submit it to the president of the university to be presented at the University Council for approval.• Follow-up of students’ scientific issues.• Express an opinion on sabbatical and dispatch of teaching staff and recommending them to the university president.• University representative in meetings and conferences and the relevant scientific committees associated with the nature of his work and authorized by the president of the university.• Propose nominations for fellowships and scientific missions in regards to employees of the university presidency.• Follow-up scientific programs, scientific researches, scientific conferences and scientific symposia that held by colleges and institutes and centers of the university.• The formation of various scientific committees at the university within his terms of reference with the exception of the Central Commission for promotions and its branches.

I am teaching undergraduate students with different topics: 1- Computer application-MATLAB, 2- Principles of remote sensing, 3- Scientific debates, and 4- Applied statisticsI also do teach Scientific Research Skills for the postgraduate students

I did my PhD at the Earth Observation science department, Faculty of Geo-Information Science and Earth Observation (ITC) of the University of Twente.My PhD focused on estimating the forest growth parameter such as leaf area index (LAI). The LAI is defined as the total one-sided area of leaf tissue per unit ground surface area (m2/m2). LAI have proved useful in a number of environmental applications, including estimating carbon assimilation by plants. In my study, I used LAI value derived from satellite images to improve the estimated LAI values of the 3-PG model using a statistical approach in particular Bayesian networks.

I have been involved partly in the teaching of three M.Sc. courses as a lecturer during my PhD study at the same faculty.The courses were: Advanced Image Analysis in 2009.Advanced Image Analysis in 2010.Advanced Geostatistics in 2011.

I was working with UoD as a teaching staff. In 2005, I got M.Sc. degree in Mathematics, and I have been pointed as a lecturer in the UoD. I have been involved in teaching several topics:1- Calculus,2- Finite Mathematics,3- Differential Equation,4- Computer Application-Maple,5- Numerical Analysis.
