CurrentIn the Surgical Labs, researched the use of Transamniotic Nucleic Acid Therapy as a delivery method for fetal administration of human CFTR mRNA for meconium ileus and respiratory complications associated with cystic fibrosis using a pregnant rat model: - Assisted in surgeries to inject CFTR mRNA encapsulated in lipopolyplex nanocomplexes to fetal amniotic fluid- Harvested lung, gut and heart tissue from fetuses, newborns and mothers- Screened and analyzed presence of CFTR proteins via sandwich type ELISA- Wrote and edited abstracts and presentations for conferences and publication
