- Testing 26 full scale reinforced concrete shear panels with FRP retrofit and as triaxial stress state specimens- Developing constitutive relationships for FRP shear-strengthened reinforced concrete elements- Developing FE element using TCL and FORTRAN programming languages element for OpenSees and FEAP finite element packages to implement the newly developed constitutive relationships- Testing and verifing the new FE element by analyzing the damage and failure mechanisms for several cases of FRP shear-strengthened reinforced concrete girders- Application of a state-of-art type of sensors called smart aggregates to examine the health of the structures such as growth of the cracks width inside the RC structure during its service time and rate of change of internal strains under seismic and combined loading- Performing experimental tests on two reinforced concrete columns under combined shear and torsion to evaluate the performance (failure mechanism) of the columns using smart aggregates under reversed cyclic loading at Missouri University of Science and Technology- Performing experimental tests on four reinforced concrete columns under seismic loading to evaluate the performance (failure mechanism) of the columns using smart aggregates using fully Dynamic (Shake Table) equipments at University of Nevada-Reno.
