Noninvasive assessment of central blood flow signals and patient-specific cardiovascular risk:✓ Developed open source reduced-order blood flow hemodynamics simulation algorithms in MATLAB (entitled CardioFAN), capturing fluid-structure interaction (FSI) and nonlinear pulse wave propagation in human visco-hyperelastic blood vessels.• Validate and apply CardioFAN for patient-specific prediction of blood pressure and flow waveforms in arterial network.• Combine inverse hemodynamics simulation and calibration with clinical tests to augment prediction of central blood signals.• Develop 3D-1D coupling for FSI solvers capturing wall shear stress and complex flow in aneurysms. • Side outcome: Investigated cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) behavior in patients with left ventricular assist device (LVAD).• Side outcome: Co-advised an MS student on his thesis.
