About Yashas Masurekar

Yashas Masurekar is a graduate of a Master of Science program in Engineering Management at Northeastern University. During this program, he worked as a Product Development Engineering Co-op with Robert Bosch's Electronic Drives Research Division. He helped them develop their Coolant Proportional Valve (CPV) technology, assess its performance characteristics experimentally and benchmark against its competitors. He helped the CPV team develop vendors for some critical components, identify component tolerances, and develop inspection checks for batch manufacture to help the organization further its go-to-market strategy for this device. Yashas has also has completed a Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering during which he has worked with multiple startups through the SUNY Research Foundation over a three-year period. The startups were in the clean-energy space and he helped them conceptualize their technology, assess and improve their competitiveness, and develop a strategy to bring them to market while helping them generate non-dilutive funding through government organizations such as the US Department of Energy, NYSERDA, and SBA.Apart from these experiences in the function of Research and Development, Yashas has also worked at a Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) in Bangalore, India dealing with the Heat-treatment of Automotive, Construction Machinery, Mining Equipment, and Heavy Machinery components. During this time, he worked in their Manufacturing and Quality Control departments and worked as a liaison between the company and its clientele in a customer-facing role. He addressed Customer Complaints, developed new clientele by handling the New Product Development initiative, and managed projects for adding capital infrastructures such as furnaces and lab equipment.Yashas is passionate about developing new products while assessing their market fit to make them succeed in a fast-paced consumer environment. He has a soft corner for products that will leave humankind and the environment at a better place than they are at for our future generations.
