I am an equity partner (owner) at JPC and specialise in leasehold enfranchisement and landlord & tenant matters. As Head of JPC’s Property Practice Group day-to-day work includes dealing with enfranchisement claims, lease extensions/variations, right to manage claims, appointment of manager & right of first refusal proceedings. I also have vast experience in dealing with First Tier Tribunal/Upper Tribunal matters, enforcement of lease covenants, forfeiture claims, Section 146 notices and service charge disputes. Super proud to shortlisted for the Law Society’s Excellence Awards, Solicitor of the Year 2018 (private practice)In recent years, I have been asked use my knowledge of the niche area of enfranchisement law to help statutory bodies responsible for reforming the leasehold sector, most recently the Law Commission, shape best practice in leasehold. I also regularly write for RICS, FPRA, ARHM, News on the Block, I-Surv and Westlaw and Lexis-Nexus.Twice voted “Solicitor of the Year” (Enfranchisement and Right to Manage Awards), I am also a “Recommend Lawyer” in the prestigious Legal 500 guide as well as being listed in the “Top 100 Most Influential People in the Residential Sector” property guide. Earlier in my career previous accolades include being voted “Young Professional of the Year” and “Regional Solicitor of the Year” as well as being short listed for 2011’s “Asian Woman of the Year” and “Women in Law” 2006. My team at JPC Law were also "Highly Commended" at the ERMAs and Property Management Awards (2012-2014).As well as my long standing role as Honorary Legal Consultant for FPRA (Federation of Private Resident’s Association), I have also sat on advisory panel of “ALEP” (Association of Leasehold Enfranchisement Practitioners) and am a Director of “ARHM” (Association of Residential Housing Managers). I also sit on the Advisory Panel to ARMA (Association of Residential Managing Agents) I have a passion for fast cars & motorbikes!
