I am presently overseeing the corporate commercial practice at ELP across all its offices. I am responsible for managing the corporate commercial team, which handles various complex domestic and international transactions. The team has deep experience in handling mergers, acquisitions and private equity transactions, including all aspects of negotiations, drafting and diligence requirements. I have over 18 years of experience and am proficient in understanding commercial requirements of clients and have experience in formulating compliant and practical solutions for them.I have been named as a Notable Practitioner in Corporate & M&A by IFLR 1000 in the years 2021 and 2020 and also named as a Recommended lawyer in investment funds by Legal 500 .I am a regular keynote speaker, a moderator and a panelist at several international and national conferences, legal fora and academic seminars. Additionally, I am actively involved in the administration and various knowledge development initiatives at ELP. Prior to ELP, I was a partner at Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas as part of their corporate commercial team.I have completed my higher secondary education from St. Xaviers, Calcutta and my legal education from Symbiosis Law School, Pune, in 2003. I was awarded the Namdar Gopalkrushna Gokhale Gold Medal and Justice Dilip Bhosale Award by the University of Pune for securing the first rank in the LL.B. examination.I am a qualified Indian lawyer and also admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of England and Wales. I have also successfully passed the Limited Insolvency Exam conducted by the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India (IBBI) and am registered as an “Insolvency Resolution Professional” with IBBI.
