• Help run the Makerspace by overseeing undergraduate staff• Manage a team of undergraduate staff in AR/VR, Electronics, and Textiles.• Work on projects like - - Smart Shop: Track, analyze, and automate machine usage and maintenance using sensors, IoT devices, and raspberry pi. Integrates multiple services like Deputy, Slack, Google Services, monday.com, etc., to create custom automations that increase productivity - VR-Framework: Working on a VR Framework that can interface with custom devices being developed on campus to test - SafetyGlasses: Developed a computer vision model to see if a user is wearing safety glasses in the machine shop - Developed an Arduino-based PIR sensor system to detect if the laser cutter was left unattended while running - Developed a React App to track and display the staff members on shift• Provide instructional support to courses that use the facility, like InterEgr 170 and final-year interdisciplinary capstone projects• Develop and run workshops like - Intro to Arduino with MATLAB, Intro to Arduino, Sculpting in Medium and Autodesk Maya, Intro to Unreal Engine, Make your own Arduino, Fiddling with Microcontrollers, Intro to AR with A-frame, Intro to VR Development• Designed and Engineered a Smart Shop system with sensors and actuators that preserves the privacy of users by restricting to cloud-based services along with implementing automations and a dashboard. It also gives smart feedback based on user actions.• Deployed a Dockerized full-stack application which is hosted on a server we maintain to streamline and automate the 3d printing process.• Mentored a team of 5 Undergraduate students.
