After a Master’s degree in Biotechnology from University of Madras followed by a PhD in Molecular Biology and Biotechnology from Tezpur University, Assam, I chose teaching as my profession. I have been employed by various colleges in Kashmir, India. Previously I was working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biotechnology and Bioinformatics, SP College, Cluster University Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir, India. My conduct has earned me the Certificate of Proficiency at Master’s level; speaking skills have earned me the best debater awards; research interest has earned me National Research Fellowships (Junior and Senior); and merit has fetched me an Assistant Professor job in Biotechnology at a prestigious college in Jammu & Kashmir, India. I worked as a Research scientist at Government Medical College Baramulla and then as Scientist-I at Interdisciplinary Biotechnology unit, Aligarh Muslim University where I was working on OMICS approaches to explore AMR. Currently I am working as a Senior Resident at a prestigious medical Institute (SKIMS-Soura) where I am involved in the diagnosis of rare genetic disorders.
