About Yasir Arafat

With over 10 years of experience in nuclear technology research and development, I am passionate about advancing clean energy solutions for the world. As the Chief Technology Officer at Aalo Atomics, I lead the design and engineering of innovative microreactors that are safe, scalable, and sustainable.Previously, I was the Chief Designer and Project Lead of the MARVEL microreactor at Idaho National Laboratory, where I successfully demonstrated the first advanced nuclear reactor in the US in over 40 years. I also led the US Department of Energy Microreactor Program as the Technical Area Lead, overseeing the strategic vision and technical direction of the national effort to develop and deploy microreactors. Prior to that i started Westinghouse eVinci Microreactor.
