• Assist Users: Provide technical support to students, faculty, and staff on hardware and software issues in the lab.• System Maintenance: Monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain computer systems and peripherals to ensure they are operational.• Software Installation and Updates: Install, update, and configure software as needed for lab functionality and academic requirements.• Network Management: Ensure the network connectivity of computers and troubleshoot basic network issues.• Technical Documentation: Document common troubleshooting steps and procedures for efficient issue resolution.• Security Protocols: Enforce IT security protocols, including user authentication and safeguarding against unauthorized access.• Inventory Management: Track and report inventory levels of IT equipment and supplies for the lab.• User Training: Guide users in proper use of lab equipment and software, providing brief tutorials as needed.• Resource Scheduling: Manage booking and availability of lab equipment and resources.• Incident Reporting: Document and escalate unresolved technical issues to senior IT staff.
