Was responsible for designing and programming SCADA devices, and Remote Terminal Units (RTUs) for SCADA communication between Substations and Ranger/Network Manager Database. Assisted with technical consultation, plan developments and recommendations for customer and company systems and processes (e.g. verified and validated blueprints or designs against accepted engineering principles and practices). Evaluated effectiveness of current SCADA Data Highway Network Communications systems, and requests for upgrades if needed. Tracked progress of SCADA projects and communicated with various groups such as Project Management, Testing Group, & SCADA IT to ensure smooth execution of projects. Provided assistance to field personnel on Corrective Maintenance and Priority tasks. Successfully completed an Intelligent Substation upgrade project, various 138kV Line upgrades, & Relay/SCADA upgrades. Mentored new employees.

Performed overall field testing activities including installation/commissioning tests, technical investigations, field-engineering analysis on malfunctioned electrical and electronic equipment to evaluate system maintenance and repair on transmission & distribution substation equipment. -Performed preventative maintenance and corrective maintenance on distribution and transmission relays power reclosers etc., using the guidelines listed in the Field Reference and the Maintenance Procedures manuals. -Conducted basic hands-on acceptance and in-service testing of transmission and distribution equipment (e.g., transformers, circuit breakers, control and relay panels, SCADA, etc.) Testing was performed per the guidelines included in the Field Reference Manual and the Maintenance Procedures Manuals. -Assisted with the restoration of malfunctioning transmission and distribution equipment, under emergency conditions, by performing the necessary hands-on testing as outlined in the Field Reference and Maintenance Procedures manuals. -Completed required paperwork (reports, test data, blueprint corrections, relay settings, etc) as necessary to document work performed. -Provided on-the-job and formal classroom training.

Designed 4kV, 12kV, & 34kV overhead and underground feeders. Designs included Capacity Planning, Corrective Maintenance, Facility Relocation, Public Improvement, Reinforcement, & System Performance. Created detailed sketches, & interacted with various municipalities to secure permits. Primary Peer Reviewer in department & Mentor/Trainer of new employees.Successfully completed the Edison Electric Institute Technical Test.

Designed Summer Critical large scale projects in various regions that include overhead, underground, and cable/conduit jobs to meet safe and cost effective construction requirements. Provided work order sketches, secured permits/easements and material requests for projects.
