Communications And Advocacy Manager

Current

Australia

In short, it's my job to help amplify the voice of 1 in 4 Australians who are digitally excluded. If that sounds like something you're interested in learning more about, please read on: it's both wonderful and important content. Good Things Foundation Australia is a social change organisation focussed on improving people’s lives through digital technology. I play a key role in the development and implementation of Good Things Foundation Australia’s communications and advocacy activities with a particular focus on producing multi-channel communications to reach Australian audiences, stakeholders and government. My role is pivotal to raising the profile of digital inclusion in Australia. It focuses on telling the story of Good Things Foundation Australia, showcasing the positive social impact of our work, profiling the work of our community partners and the people they support, and raising awareness of the importance of digital inclusion programs.I am responsible for monitoring the external media and policy environment, writing submissions and developing position statements on key digital inclusion issues, including bringing together an evidence base, defining community, corporate and government-led solutions to challenges, and writing/producing engaging communications that get cut-through. It's a job that I'm excited about, that I feel honoured to have. It's not every day that you get the chance to change the world by making small contributions that mean so much. Hopefully, you can join me on my mission to close the digital divide in Australia. If you want to get in touch with me, please go through LinkedIn or email me at yasmin.noone@goodthingsfoundation.org.au
