Marine technology is rapidly growing in importance, both globally and in my academic journey. As an MSci Marine Biology student at the University of Southampton, I am increasingly focused on ecological and genetic modelling. While still developing my experience, I am passionate about using data-driven approaches and predictive modelling to better understand complex marine ecosystems. Through my coursework, I have gained skills in R and Python, which I plan to apply in future research focused on environmental challenges like microplastics and biodiversity loss. I am currently studying abroad at Dalhousie University, Nova Scotia, where I am strengthening my research skills and building connections within the field.I have had hands-on experience working on the RV Callista, which enhanced my practical knowledge of marine research. I am actively seeking marine-based volunteering and internship opportunities to further build my expertise and contribute to the wider field.
