"A teacher affects eternity, for she never knows where her influence will end." Yasmin is a warm, nurturing educator who just stepped her foot in the early childhood industry a little over 2 years ago. Early learning and development hold an especially dear place for her due to their importance to children’s lifelong learning, health and well-being. Yasmin is attuned to each child’s gifts, strengths, interests and needs. She is an inquisitive, inclusive educator with a passion for active, nature- and inquiry-based play, exploration and learning. Yasmin has been in 3 different practicums over the past 3 years. Recently during her 6-month internship at PCF Sparkletots, she is quick to notice and name children’s learning. She enjoys documenting this learning in order to stimulate reflection and conversation between the children, families and educators. She also values establishing strong connections with the children’s families. Yasmin has been involved in a variety of opportunities where she was able to hone her leadership and volunteering skills. She was an EXCO member for her school from 2017-2019. Through this position, she was the Head of Publicity department, leading a group of 3 in managing the school's official Instagram @hmssociety, creating and pulicising event posters, designing camp t-shirts. Yasmin shares fully in the joy, laughter, creativity and wonder in each day. She is eager and overjoyed to contribute back to this industry once she graduates from her diploma in May 2020.
