- Main researcher for project: “Micro-mechanical and fatigue modeling of steel fiber reinforced composites”. Project partners: KULeuven, Siemens Industry Software, Bekaert, Recticel.- Member of the internationally recognized research group: Composites Materials Group (CMG) at the department of Materials Engineering, KULeuven.- Development of a simulation toolkit for the prediction of the static and fatigue behavior of straight and novel wavy short fiber composites.

- Teaching Assistant in undergraduate courses among which are: Engineering Drawing, Production Technology, Material Science and Technology, Material Properties and Characterization, Quality Control and Technical Report Writing, Product Design, Design and Analysis of Experiments, Advanced Materials and Manufacturing.- Assistance in Bachelor thesis supervision within the Mechanical Engineering Department.

- Researcher in project entitled: "Functionality of Environmentally friendly hybrid composites". The project was a collaboration between the Design & Production Department, Mechanical Engineering, Ain Shams University, Egypt and the Institute of Polymers Materials and Plastics Engineering, TU-Clausthal, Germany. Project funded by: from Deutscher Akademischer Austauchdienst (DAAD) and Science & Technology Development Fund in Egypt (STDF).
