Yasmine Eissa is an assistant professor of Economics at the American University in Cairo (AUC). She holds a DPhil (2023) in economics from Cairo University, MA (2009) and BA (2005) in economics from AUC. Her research interests are at the intersection of global value chains, innovation, and labor markets. Her studies are focused on emerging regions and are published in refereed journals on international trade and innovation. She has recieved multiple recognitions on her work including Ibn Khaldun prize 2023 and EMANES 2023 best paper award. She has teaching experience GUC, MIU, AUC, and Cairo University. She is a former research fellow at the WTO Chairs Program at Cairo University.
