I am the VP Data Strategy & Analytics at Sylvan Road Capital LLC, a technology and data-driven asset management firm focused on single family rentals (SFR). I have over 13 years of experience in leading strategy and analytics teams across different industries, including Meta, AWS, and Comcast.     My Ph.D. thesis was the biological equivalent to the saying "Show me who your friends are and I will tell you who you are" with the nuance that in my case I was interested in what a protein was "doing" instead. At the time, a protein named cyclin E1 was known to be important in cancer growth but there was sparse knowledge on the specific signaling pathways it was involved in. My research focused on identifying novel protein partners of cyclin E1 in order to associate it with new signaling pathways. These protein partners were also potential targets for cancer treatments. In the process, I developed method to optimize protein analysis from mouse organs including data analysis to validate identification of candidate proteins. My research identified 4 novel cyclin E1 protein partners/complexes that implicated cyclin E1 in novel signaling pathways. Our findings were published in peer-reviewed scientific journals (see below).
