I have over 30 years experience in urban development studies and urban planning preparation as urban geographer/physical planner/regional planner since 1982 (Sept.) E.C. I have been a researcher/regional planner/geographer, senior expert, team leader, project coordinator and representative of department head at National/Federal Urban Planning Institute (FUPI) of Ministry of Urban Development. • I was a project coordinator in the planning team and a team leader for remote sensing and base map preparation team in Federal Urban Planning Institute (FUPI)-under Ministry of Works and Urban Development (MWUD) for over 2 years.• I have also a working experience as physical/regional planner and/or urban/regional geographer in the preparation of Maychew and Neqemtte Integrated Development Plan with Matheose Consult; Alitena, Belesse, Edaga Berhe, Alamata Development Plans with Anbessa and Associate Plc.; Dessie Cadaster Project with PACE Plc.; etc• I have also a par time Lecture experience in Ethiopian Civil Service College (in Urban Geography).• I have also a two years working experience in South Sudan under IGAD/UNDP Civil Service Support Capacity Building Project for technical assistance of the new nation. I was assigned as a physical planner in South Sudan Ministry of Lands, Housing and Physical Planning. I have participated in several technical assistances (like Plan Preparation, Policy Formulation, Manual Preparation and Planning as well as Policy Editorial Works) and advisory works.• I was also a Senior Policy Expert in Policy and Programme Bureau of Ministry of Urban Development, Housing and Construction (after I was back from South Sudan).• I am, currently, a Deputy Director of Da-Ya Consulting Planners and Engineers PLC. I am, therefore, manage the company and participate as Urban Geographer, Project Team Leader and Project Assistant Coordinator
