Press On foundation is a non-profit organization that I founded back in 2018 with the cooperation of interrnational students in Vietnam. Our goal is to help social science graduates to find opportunities in these fields in South-East Asia and North Africa. We helped NGOs recruit more than 30 university graduates in Egypt and in Vietnam. We were able to find help 100+ students to be hired in 3 different countries and across two continents.

My responsibilities there varied according to each event. Part of my responsibility was to help in checking and analyzing the venue of an event. During the project, I was required to prepare and to deliver different presentations about the differences and similarities between the Egyptian and the Chinese cultures as I view them. It should be noted that in my last week of the internship, I traveled with my host family to their hometown for the Chinese New Year. I did not work on organizing any event during that week. However, the trip was part of the program. The reason beyond the trip was to help all participants to engage in cultural activities in a traditional Chinese village where we practice their own lifestyle. I was required to write notes and prepare for another presentation that is based on a deeper understanding of the cultural aspects that I presented before. I came back to Shunde (where the project is) on Feb 27th, 2018. On the last day, I conducted a presentation about how I view the cultural differences between Egypt and China after the two months I spent in China and most importantly the week I spent in my host family’s hometown.
