Yassine Gaidi (Tunisia, 1982) has followed in his uncle’s footsteps as a photographer. After several years of being an enthusiastic member of a photo club in his hometown of Le Bardo near Tunis, he chose to concentrate on his English studies. When he returned to photography, he specialized in landscapesand portraits until the coverage of the Arab Spring prompted him to become a professional news photographer . Gaidi went on to cover the constitutional assembly elections in Libya, post-revolution Egypt, and the Gaza Strip. He worked for a number of photo agencies including Demotix,Wostok and Corbis before being hired as a photo reporter by Ain, a Tunisian newspaper, in 2011.Between 2012 and 2014 he worked as freelance Photographer with Associated Press and Anadolu Agency to become Staffer with Anadolu Agency Since 2014.Gaidi won the People Power Tunis 2020 Contest and joined the Union of Tunisian Plastic Artists in 2020 ..His pictures was published in NY Times, Time, The Sun, The Daily Telegraph, The Financial Times, Bloomberg , Washington Post, The Sunday Times , the Mirror, The Guardian,Le monde, Le point, Marianne, Le Figaro, Paris Match, Jeune Afrique,CNN,Euronews, Al-Quds al-Arabi, Aljazeera , BBC ...
