Sinan Yavuz is currently a Ph.D. student in the Quantitative Methods program, Department of Educational Psychology at UW-Madison. He is a project assistant in the Interactive Learning and Design Lab. He received his combined bachelor's and master's degree in the Biology Teaching Department from Gazi University, Turkey. He has worked for seven years as a research assistant in three different universities and meanwhile, he taught Educational Measurement and Evaluation and Learning and Developmental Psychology courses to university graduates for three years in private institutions in Turkey. He was a Ph.D. candidate in the Educational Measurement and Evaluation Department at Hacettepe University. During his previous Ph.D. studies in Turkey, he participated in national projects supported by UNICEF and the Turkish National Ministry of Education. His primary interests are in Bayesian approaches for educational research designs, Bayesian growth models in education, Bayesian approaches to missing data analyses, and extensions of the Bayesian model averaging to multilevel models.

Key Contributions: • Successfully planned and scheduled all classes and programs of the division for one year.• Responsible for the update and design of divisions and department's webpage.• Served as a Student President of the Educational Sciences Institute and Educational Sciences Department and represented more than 3000 graduate students for 2 years.• Teaching assistant for one term for each “Statistical Techniques in Education” and “Analyses of Variance” class.Projects:• Participated in a project for six months in Measurement, Selection and Placement Center on “Large Scale Test Equating”. The Center was established in 1973 by the government of Turkey, which prepares tests for more than 10 million people every year.• Participated in “Preparing to School Program Project” in kindergarten, primary and middle school level for almost one and a half years and still present. The project is supported by the Ministry of National Education in Turkey and funded by UNICEF. Taking charge of assessment and evaluation of the newly designed education program.
