Yayra Sánchez earned a BA in Literature and Languages from Universidad del Sagrado Corazón in her hometown San Juan, PR. Afterwards, she earned her BA and MM Degrees in Vocal Performance at The Boston Conservatory and since then, she has become an active performer of operas and concerts, performing both traditional and contemporary works. She is also the singer and co-creator of CRYA - Canciones, raíces y alas, a project dedicated to create music for children, in Spanish. As a teacher, she offers private voice lessons; and, she's the Director and Teacher of Ladybug Music ATX, in Austin, TX. In addition to her musical career, she is a freelance writer, translator and transcriptionist (English & Spanish), and voice-over actress.
