Yazmine (she/her/hers) is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, who holds her Master of Social Work (MSW) degree, with a concentration in mental health and a Trauma Certificate. She was a recipient and participant of the Collaborative Learning and Innovative Educational Models Behavioral Health Opioid Workforce Expansion Program (CLIMB-OWEP) during the 2019-2020 academic year. Yazmine is a current member of the Phi Alpha Social Work Honor Society Xi Delta Chapter, and was the president of the chapter during the 2019-2020 academic year. She is currently a Clinical Social Work Candidate. Yazmine's focus is treatment and intervention for sex offense specific adults and criminal justice reform, utilizing a victim-centered approach. She has professional experience working in the mental health field, specifically utilizing a trauma-based lens, as well as in the behavioral health field and child welfare. While obtaining her MSW, she was a clinical intern with Addiction Research and Treatment Services (ARTS) through the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus. Yazmine is now a Sex Offender Treatment and Monitoring Program (SOTMP) Counselor at the Colorado Department of Corrections, providing individual and group therapy for incarcerated individuals within the state of Colorado. Yazmine is an Associate Level Adult Treatment Provider with the Colorado Sex Offender Management Board (SOMB).
