I’m in the GE team based in abu dhabi but work any where in gulf countries. We conduct repair and maintenance of GE steam turbine, gas turbine and its turbine generator.ROLE:1. Install machine as per plan.2. Overhaul and assemble machine according to its field procedures. During overhauling, mark first the turbine parts or components if it is RHS, LHS, Top, Bottom, Forward Side or Aft Side for the easy way to indentify which side you removed/install this turbine parts/components.3. Align and inspect machine using some needed tools.4. Check measurements and clearances as found or as the required tolerances.5. Flange management.6. Involve in lifting/rigging activities.7. Perform cleaning/inspecting of tools before or after use.8. Conduct inventory of tools such as hand tools, power tools, pneumatic tools, electrical, hydraulic tools, precision tools and lifting tools. Checking also its valid certificate, calibration date and color code for the lifting gears. This includes also the inventory of consumable materials used in the outage.9. Inventory of the removed turbine components which is to be replaced and check also its serial number.10. Assists in all mechanical jobs.11. Follow safety procedures. Attend toolbox talk. This is a construction industry, Marafiq STG 5 & 6 project. Starting from the beginning until to its final inspection.ROLE:1. Installation of pumps and motors. (GR Fan, FD Fan, CID Fan, Blowers and Agitator or some Vertical Pumps.)• Preparation of foundation (chipping and lay-outing for the anchor bolts of the base).• Traverse or transfer the elevation for reference purposes.• Lay-outing for the base of the motor.• Make padding for the base plate of the motor.• Centering and leveling of the pedestal of the motor.• Installation of the machine or equipment as per plan.• Alignment. During alignment, make a rough alignment using rules or straight edge to identify how much shim you needed before starting dial gauge alignment. Check the soft-foot of the motor by loosing and tightening the bolt of the motor individually. Check the DBSE (distance between shafts-end) to assure the correct gap or distance of the two shafts. Also check the pipe stress to assure the aligned motor will not move during tightening of the motor flange that connected to the pipe flange.2. Installation of the Gas Air Pre-Heater of the Boiler.• Traverse or transfer the elevation for reference purposes.• Lay-outing for the base plate and lapping for the base of the GAPH.• Install machine as per plan.• Read and follow the mechanical drawing for the assembly.• Involve in lifting activities, conduct welding/tacking and make measurements for the required tolerances.
