Increase awareness of osteoporosis as a preventable/treatable disease among physicians, healthcare providers and the community in northeastern Ohio. Established 17 bone density testing centers and worked with representatives from two districts on the establishment of diagnostic and treatment protocols at these centers.Conducted educational programs for healthcare providers and community organizations to increase awareness of diagnosis and treatment of osteoporosis.

Developed relationships with community urologists all over upstate NY and northern PA, with a focus on promoting the diagnosis and treatment of prostate disease. Worked with local community organizations such as Cancer Action in Rochester and the Prostate Health Council in Buffalo to promote prostate disease awareness. Worked with primary care representatives to successfully launch Proscar for the treatment of Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia.

Established relationships with physicians, pharmacists, long-term care intstitutions and consultatnt pharmacists at hospitals, nursing homes, and indian reservations. Provided information so that Merck products would be prescribed and placed on formularies with exclusivity. Vasotec became the only ACE inhibitor at the Allegheny Indian Reservation, Noroxin was reinstated on the formulary at Bradford Hospital, and Noroxin gained exclusivity at the Chautauqua County Nursing Home, among other accomplishments.
