My name is Kuo, Yi-Ching (Layla). Although I was born in Taiwan, I am a half of Cantonese as well. I have both Taiwan and Hong Kong permanent identities. Not only because my father is a Cantonese, but I also used to work in Hong Kong for over 7 years. My father paid much attention to my English ability, in order to base the development of my English ability and to let me have many chances communicating with people from different countries, he sent me to Dominican International School and Taipei American School until Grade two. I used to be a teacher assistant at Sesame Street. In order to improve my teaching skills and get certified, I joined a teacher training course at Peter’s English. After the training, I began to serve as an after class English teacher at elementary schools. Moreover, starting from my senior year, I served as a teacher assistant, teaching non-English majors in my school and a director of public relations in the student association of my department, joining and organizing various activities. After graduated, I worked for a British company named JetBet Limited as a flight representative, serving tablets to passengers in flight, then Sheraton Grande Taipei Hotel as a guest relations officer, I am responsible to escort VIP guests to rooms and handle all their requests. In the year of 2014, I became a cabin crew of Cathay Pacific Airways, working for over 7 years.Unfortunately, I was being terminated during the pandemic. Then, I came back to Taiwan and worked as an administrative assistant in an English academy named AMC, scheduling classes and teaching English. However, I am always missing about flying, providing customer service and the crew life so much that I applied STARLUX Airlines as a senior cabin crew working from September 2022 until present.
