Project value was $25 Million and was implemented over 4 years.Managed a multi-disciplinary team of 50 programmers and developers and delivered on time, on budget a network management system to MCI communications (now WorldCom and back to MCI). Project value was $35 Million over 3 years.

Developed the procedures and implemented the move from a dedicated development system to a cross-compiler PC based application.Managed the expansion and growth and porting of software from 8 bit environments (Motorola 6800) to 16 bit environments (Motorola 68000 and Motorola 68020).

1982 to 1985 were very exciting times for Arctic offshore development. My key responsibilities were to manage, repair and calibrate signal amplification equipment and the computer based scanners / data acquisitions systems.Weir-Jones Engineering (a mechanical and soils engineering firm) had a number of contracts to strain gage and monitor many of the exploration platforms operated by Gulf and Dome Petroleum.I remain excited to have been part of that history and to have spent time on many of the innovative exploration platforms of the time.My time was primarily spent on Tarsuit Island, a Caison Retained man made island located approximately 30 km NNW of Tuktoyaktuk.I also spent time on the SSDC, the Kulluk, MAC and a number of the coast guard ice breakers active at the time. I was also engaged at the Nanisivik mine on Baffin Island and at various other locations during my employment.I was the key designer for a multi-port vibrating wire strain amplifier. These strain gages were used for large displacement strain gage monitoring.
