DAS Contract Lead

Interpret Spoken English into American Sign Language, and American Sign Language into Spoken English in various department meetings, classroom settings, IEPs, campus tours, as well as a variety of other settings.

Works with youth on activities in the community to address goals on a youth’s existing outpatient,In-Home Therapy treatment plan, or on an existing Individual Care Plan for youth in Intensive Care Coordination.Activities involved, but not limited to: Teaching of alternative strategies, Role Playing, Behavioral Rehearsal, Skill acquisition in the community, Practicing skills, Developing communication skills all in social, recreational, athletic activities. Coaches, trains and links youth to appropriate services in the community.Be cultural and linguistically competent for our service population (Deaf community.) Maintain all paper work in accordance with agency specifications.Works collaboratively with the Outpatient therapist, In-Home Therapy or Intensive Care Coordination teams.Attends all required trainings and team meetings as defined by the agency.

Supervise Deaf children with the activities of daily living skills, schedule creation and domestic chores● Maintain student activity logs and compose incident reports● Design age and skill appropriate recreational activities for Deaf youth● Developed monthly activity plans with Lead Child Care Worker, which include goals for learning andimproving recreational skills with an emphasis on teamwork.● Coordinated and administered “Fuel Up To Play 60” – A nutritional and physical in-school program thatencourages the availability and consumption of nutrient-rich foods and a minimum 60 minutes of dailyphysical activity.

Tutored Deaf high school students in Math, Science, English, and History and other school related projects/assignments.

Inspected student/faculty laptop/computer problems identified their source, and determined possiblesolutions.● Researched and recommend new software applications for academic hardware● Documented programming problems and resolutions
