Managed migration of the organizations telephony system from analog/digital communications to Voice over IP (VoIP). My project leadership saved the company $100k throughout the life cycle of the project. In addition to the project budget savings, my recommendations on phone communications saved the company $150k per year in operating costs. During all projects, mitigated risks to the communication infrastructure while remaining in compliance with the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) publications.Worked with Senior Management and technical staff to maintain continuous alignment of project scope with business requirements and made recommendations to modify internal procedures to enhance effectiveness toward performance to cost, project performance and schedule objectives. Primary liaison interacting with large companies such as Acme Packets and Avaya. Negotiated equipment, maintenance and implementation pricing of session managers in support of Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) on existing/new CS2100 communication server and implementation of Session Border Controllers (SBC) to enhance security and mitigate risk on the communication network.

Planned, designed and implemented company Risk Management Program overseeing 10,000 systems, 5000 users, and multiple stakeholders. Performed risk assessments on Information Technology systems and processes, which involves analyzing risks in accordance with Federal guidelines defined in National Institute of Standards and Technology Special Publications 800-30 and 800-39 (NIST SP 800-30 and 800-39).Developed methodology for analyzing risks, controls, and policy to ensure compliance with both federal regulations as well as company policy.

Trained, managed and coached Tier 1 and 2 support technicians specialized in Unified Communications responsible for providing exceptional customer service, extensive troubleshooting of a web-based VoIP self service and resolution within required Service Level Agreements (SLA's).Identified and eliminated excess/redundant network capacity for a cost saving of 2 million dollars by migrating the network infrastructure from a Media Gateway Control Protocol (MGCP) environment to a Session Initiation Protocol (SIP). Reduced time of resolution by 23.8% by reorganizing the staffing model and providing ongoing training and monitoring to Tier 1 and Tier 2.

Performed root cause analysis on issues assigned to the ILEC repair department after preliminary testing determined an issue with the ILEC's equipment.Remotely tested xDSL circuits, router configurations and performed in-depth troubleshooting with Covad and ILEC Technicians. Resolved 98% of all tickets within ILEC's Service Level Agreement (SLA).Implemented a standard escalation process with the ILEC's to assure that expedited tickets are given priority attention.
