Educated in the United States, China, and the Netherlands, Ye Pyae is a multi-award-winning educator and a social entrepreneur from Myanmar (Burma). He is the Founder & Managing Director of Taxila Education Group Limited. With his extensive experience in higher education administration, and student, faculty, and teacher development in Myanmar, he has initiated and led several innovative student, faculty, and teacher development programs, won multiple awards and grants from the U.S. Department of State (DOS) and the U.S. Embassy in Rangoon, and earned the high trust of the Myanmar Ministry of Education (MOE).Ye Pyae is also one of the former advisory board members of the MOOC Steering Committee and a visiting faculty at Parami University, the first private non-profit university based on American liberal arts and sciences education. Since the age of 16, Ye Pyae has been passionately teaching about 17,000 students and 7,500 faculty members from nearly 160 public universities in Myanmar. He has also empowered over 1,700 K-12 principals and teachers from schools across Myanmar. His educational qualifications include two Undergraduate Diplomas/Certificates in Civic Engagement and in Social Entrepreneurship, a B.S. in Business Administration (graduating Summa Cum Laude & University Honor) from Northern Illinois University in the U.S., a Master of International Business (graduating with the Best Master's Thesis Award) from Shanghai Jiao Tong University in China; an M.Sc. in Strategic Management (with an emphasis in Consultancy) from Tilburg University in the Netherlands. He is pursuing a Doctor of Education - Ed.D. in Educational Leadership & Practice (with an emphasis in Higher Education) and a Graduate Diploma/Certificate in College Teaching at the University of North Dakota in the U.S.
